For
centuries the church has
structured its prayer round key
times of day. Of these the most
important were around dawn, at
sunset, and before going to bed.
The first of these was the basis
of the old service of Matins, the
second of Evensong, and the last
of Compline or Night Prayer.Do
you sometimes find it hard to
pray?
Why not join
in with the prayers of the church
in full or in part at least once
a day. You can follow the same
set of prayers that are being
used in your parish and the whole
Church of England, in their
principal form, and you don't
have to leave your house.
Just follow

You can use the daily prayer of
the Church as the basis for your
own prayer.
